Medieval Great Helm - 14th Century Helmet

The Medieval Great Helm - 14th Century Helmet, is fully functional and comes with your choice of steel thicknesses and many other custom options. The bottom edges of the helmet are completely rolled for comfort and safety.

The Great Helm or pot helmet was a roughly cylindrical formed medieval helmet type which arose in the early 13th century in Europe and was common until the 14th century. Also known as a barrel helmet or Topfhelm it was sometimes worn over a smaller helmet and chain mail. This beautiful example of great helm with its menacing, rolled eye slits is a strong, tough steel helmet fully capable of absorbing the shock of combat.

Each piece is fully functional, battle ready and will perform just as well as the originals. European groups have been using these helmets in live steel/re-enactments for years.
