Hunting Sword

The hunting sword, also known as a Hanger, is a distinctive short-bladed weapon that gained popularity in Europe and the Americas during the 16th and 17th centuries. Typically, these swords were no longer than 26 inches in length. Their popularity stemmed from their versatility and effectiveness in various environments, whether on foot, horseback, or aboard a ship.

Our version of the hunting sword is both practical and stylish. The blade features a satin polish with multiple fullers and a sharp false edge, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The handle is intricately hand-carved from Rosewood and adorned with nickel-silver pins, providing a comfortable and secure grip.

The scabbard is designed to complement the sword's aesthetics, with a heavy black leather construction and embossed nickel-silver throat and chape at each end. This combination of materials and craftsmanship results in a hunting sword that is both visually appealing and highly functional, perfect for both practical use and display.
